Hi! I’m Matthew.
Since 2009, I’ve been a passionate student of Shaolin Cosmos Qigong. In 2018, I had the honour of being appointed an instructor, leading to Shaolin Qigong Hampshire’s birth.
Qigong has profoundly transformed my life, and I’m excited to share its incredible benefits with you. You can read more about my journey here.
How I Discovered Shaolin Cosmos Qigong
Before 2009, I practiced Tai Chi at a local martial arts school. During the warm-up exercises, I noticed unusual sensations—tingling in my hands and other strange feelings throughout my body. This was energy (chi or qi). Surprisingly, I felt more energy during these warm-ups than during the main Tai Chi class itself. That’s when I discovered we were practicing Qigong.
Intrigued, I started researching Qigong and stumbled upon Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit’s remarkable book, The Art of Chi Kung. The depth and richness of the art captivated me. I thought, “If even a fraction of this is true, it would be life-changing.” Today, through personal experience, I can confidently say that Shaolin Cosmos Qigong truly is life-changing.
Since 2009, I have trained directly with Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit, both in the UK and Malaysia, and with other senior instructors from the Shaolin Wahnam Institute. Alongside this, I maintain my daily practice, twice a day, to deepen my understanding and connection to this profound art.
Sharing the Arts
In 2018, Grandmaster Wong bestowed upon me the honour of becoming a certified Qigong Instructor. This was a dream come true. Practicing an authentic, high-level art is an incredible privilege, but being able to share it with others is even more rewarding.
In 2019, I was further honoured to be appointed a Qigong Healer (aka Therapist), allowing me to help others harness the healing power of Shaolin Cosmos Qigong.
It brings me immense joy to share this ancient, transformative practice with anyone fortunate enough to discover it. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced practitioner, I’d be delighted to guide you on your Qigong journey.
“Qigong is an incredible art that trains body, mind, and spirit. Practicing it has totally changed my life and now I am grateful to to share it with others.“
